There were many students who walked into Macdonald Hall excited by the new comfortable seats. These seats mean a lot for the student body besides being able to be comfier during long assemblies. These seats could mean more people wanting to come to performances. But the seats were not the only change to Mac Hall. The technical equipment in Mac hall was also changed. Some changes include raising the light rails to be out of view; a new light board also came with the new lights to help manage them. Also added to the management system was a new soundboard and an iPad that can control the sound and light board, while it used to just be an analog board that didn’t give off the high quality sound it does now. Also, new microphones were also added. Other small technical additions were made to the control center and backstage of Mac Hall. These are changes that many students do not know about, but these changes will make a noticeable difference to performances, assemblies, and everyday life in Mac Hall.
