For many of us it has been a dream to be part of the generations of students that get the chance to attend this cultural exchange program with St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. Lots of preparation is needed to attend. Students are chosen depending on their academic prowess and social abilities. It all begins with meeting the standards and being selected. Then you must get your papers ready, pack your things and be willing to experience a new environment for two whole weeks. In that period of time we get the opportunity to share our culture and learn from teachers and students of St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. This trip is considered to be one in a lifetime.
You can feel the difference when entering a class in St. Andrew’s School. It’s not the classrooms but the fact that really nice and interesting people surround you. Making friends with the St. Andrew’s students is part of this program. We hope to stay in touch with them after we depart to Honduras. In the Cultural Part, you get to visit great landmarks of U.S. history like the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. You learn many things while visiting Washington D.C.
We are really pleased by the kindness of everyone here in St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. We really would like to stay in this beautiful school you have and be able to share more between us. We feel blessed to be received by you. We want to say thank you! And invite you to visit us in our lovely nation Honduras. It would be great to have you with us at El Buen Pastor and therefore make this a complete cultural exchange program between both U.S. and Honduran students.
