Spring Sports At St. Andrew’s

The spring sports offered are:

  1. Baseball – The baseball program’s focus is on improving players’ fundamentals and skills in every area. Players of any skill level are welcome and they are put on regimented practice schedules to improve their skills. The team also takes trips to places like, Cocoa Beach, Florida, Disney World Sports Complex, and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The coaches are:
    1. Varsity Boys:
      1. Mr. Hightower
    2. Middle School Boys:
      1. Mr. Jones
      2. Mr. Wagner
  2. Equestrian – Equestrian is a sport for sixth through twelfth graders of all horseriding skill levels. Equestrians take lessons once a week for a year at minimum to be eligible to compete in horse shows. The coaches are:
    1. Varsity and JV Coed:
      1. Ms. Natelli
  3. Lacrosse – Lacrosse is a sport that emphases improvement of players’ lacrosse skills to build competitive teams year after year. The coaches are:
    1. Varsity Boys:
      1. Mr. Smith
      2. Mr. Arvantides
      3. Mr. Lulli
    2. Varsity Girls:
      1. Ms. Lo
      2. Ms. Maguire
    3. Middle School Boys:
      1. Mr. Futrovsky
    4. Middle School Girls:
      1. Ms. O’Brien
      2. Ms. Magner
  4. Softball – Softball focuses on improving the players’ skill in the sport through drills and match experience. The coaches are:
    1. Varsity Girls:
      1. Ms. Kowalik
    2. Middle School Girls:
      1. Mr. McMillen
      2. Ms. Kowalik
  5. Tennis – The St. Andrew’s tennis program is designed to increase the players’ skill levels through scrimmage and drills during the season. Girls tennis is in the fall and boys tennis is in the spring. The coaches are:
    1. Varsity Boys
      1. Mr. Witowski
    2. JV Boys
      1. Ms. Maletta
    3. Middle School
      1. Mr. Witowski
      2. Mr. Tuber
  6. Track – Spring Track is a sport for those who want to improve their overall fitness, and compete in competitive races. The coaches teach runners about endurance training, strength training, nutrition and racing. They also adjust workouts to the runner making them challenging, but fun. The coaches are:
    1. Varsity Boys
      1. Mr. Davila
    2. Varsity Girls
      1. Ms. Warren
    3. Middle School
      1. Mr. Ternes
