Winter Sports At St. Andrew’s

The winter sports offered are:

  1. Basketball – Basketball is a sport that teaches its players collaboration and other skills, along with how to better their game and potentially play basketball in college. With teams in every skill level (Varsity, JV, A and B teams) for boys and girls, anyone can start basketball at any season. The coaches are:
    1. Varsity Boys:
      1. Mr. Jones
      2. Mr. Burke
      3. Mr. Harvey
      4. Mr. Lipton
      5. Mr. Mayers
    2. Varsity Girls:
      1. Mr. Foreman
      2. Mr. Smith
    3. JV Boys:
      1. Mr. Mayers
      2. Mr. Lipton
    4. JV Girls:
      1. Mr. Smith
      2. Ms. Moore
    5. Middle School Boys A:
      1. Mr. Lipton
      2. Mr. Tuber
    6. Middle School Boys B:
      1. Mr. McMillen
      2. Mr. Tuber
    7. Middle School Girls A:
      1. Mr. Smith
      2. Ms. Kowalik
    8. Middle School Girls B:
      1. Ms. Kowalik
      2. Ms. Williams
  2. Equestrian – Equestrian is a sport for sixth through twelfth graders of all horseriding skill levels. Equestrians take lessons once a week for a year at minimum to be eligible to compete in horse shows. The coaches are:
    1. Varsity and JV Coed:
      1. Ms. Natelli
  3. Indoor Track – Indoor track is a sport for those who want to improve their overall fitness and compete in competitive races. The coaches teach runners about endurance training, strength training, nutrition and racing. They also adjust workouts to the runner making them challenging but fun. The coaches are:
    1. Varsity Boys:
      1. Mr. Davila
      2. Ms. Warren
    2. Varsity Girls:
      1. Mr. Davila
      2. Ms. Warren
    3. Middle School Boys:
      1. Mr. Ternes
  4. Swimming – St. Andrew’s newest sport, swimmers of all skill levels are welcome. Swimmers will learn racing skills and train after school at pools in the area. The coaches are:
    1. Varsity Coed:
      1. Mr. Ferriby
  5. Wrestling – Varsity and middle school wrestling teaches wrestlers of all skill levels wrestling skills and gives them strength training as well as nutritional tips to stay in, and be competitive in, their weight classes. The coaches are:
    1. Boys Varsity:
      1. Mr. Evans
    2. Middle School Coed:
      1. Mr. Evans
